Tree-Planting initiative proves a major success
Press Box Publishing is delighted to announce that its environmental initiative, launched throughout the 2025-26 season in partnership with more:trees, has been a resounding success, with more than 500 trees planted thanks to the incredible support of football fans.
The initiative saw supporters play a direct role in helping to tackle climate change and support biodiversity simply by purchasing official matchday programmes and programme subscriptions. Every contribution helped Press Box Publishing and more:trees make a positive impact beyond the football pitch.
Press Box Publishing partnered with more:trees, a global platform dedicated to reducing CO₂ emissions, fighting poverty and supporting biodiversity through tree planting projects around the world. Together, the collaboration enabled fans to support meaningful environmental action while continuing to enjoy one of football’s most cherished traditions.
The success of the campaign demonstrates the difference supporters can make when small actions are multiplied across an entire season. Thanks to the enthusiasm and commitment of fans, more than 500 trees have now been planted, helping to create lasting environmental benefits for communities and ecosystems in Haiti, Kenya, Senegal and Tanzania.
Following the success of the initiative, Press Box Publishing is pleased to confirm that the campaign will return for the upcoming 2026-27 season, giving Fulham supporters another opportunity to make a difference.
And with Press Box Publishing also becoming the official matchday programme publisher for Burnley FC, their fans will also have the chance to support this eco-friendly initiative.
We will ensure:
• Five trees planted for every Fulham FC or Burnley FC 2026-27 Season Programme Subscription purchased.
• One tree planted for every single transaction of £10 or more at www.pressboxpublishing.co.uk throughout the season.*
• ‘Buy One, Plant One Tree’ – for selected Fulham and Burnley home fixtures. Press Box Publishing will plant one tree for every pre-ordered programme purchased via its website.
“We’ve been overwhelmed by the support shown by fans throughout the campaign,” said Hereford-based Press Box Publishing’s CEO Simon Milham.
“Planting more than 500 trees is a fantastic achievement and highlights what can be accomplished when supporters come together behind a shared cause. We’re proud to continue our partnership with more:trees and look forward to making an even greater impact in the season ahead.”
By continuing to support official matchday programmes, fans can once again help ensure that football leaves a positive legacy for future generations.
